Sergio Goes: Opening Slow Art Friday
Please join us as we celebrate the life and work of Sergio Goes with an intimate display of photographs that have never before been exhibited. Shot under the most extreme circumstances from light aircraft thousands of feet above the islands of Hawaii or more than a hundred feet under the ocean during free-dives, this new exhibition of photographs by Goes reflects the daring nature of the photographer, whose sense of adventure led to his untimely death July 11, 2008. The images poignantly enhance our awareness of the fragile nature of Hawaii’s beauty and the ephemeral nature of our own mortality.
Join us this Slow Art Friday, September 17, 5pm to 9pm for the opening reception of Sergio Goes: The Seer and the Spectable. We will have light refreshments and wine tasting from our friends from Wine, the Experience.
