Kenny Kicklighter Show!

Aloha Peggy Chun Fans!

Hope the new year finds you all well. Just wanted to touch base to let you all know that we haven’t dropped off the face of the planet! We are taking just a bit of a break as we regroup after the closing of the gallery. We have plans to continue the Peggy Chun art business in some capacity. We will be working the next few months on getting some information on our website about what will be available for purchase. Please stay in touch via our newsletter, website, email, and facebook and we will keep you posted as we develop the online business.

Before we made the decision to close the gallery, we had booked a fabulous artist, Kenny Kicklighter, for our January show. Thanks to the wonderful Sandy Pohl, the show has been moved to the Louis Pohl Gallery, just down the street. Please join us for this very special show! We’ll see you there!

I just want to send my gratitude to the wonderful folks who have done so much to celebrate the legacy of the amazing Peggy Chun. I never met her, as I live in California, but I have always known of her through her artwork. My Mother bought several prints on her visits to the islands. We both loved “Old Style” so much that we both had framed copies in our homes, and the first thing I see when I wake up every morning is one of her beautiful waterfall landscapes. I first learned of her illness a couple of years ago, and thought of, and prayed for her often. From the many tributes on your gallery website, It’s evident that no amount of adversity could dampen the joy and beauty of her art work, and most of all her spirit. What an amazing inspiration she was to everyone she touched. myself included.
I’ve checked in on this website from time to time hoping to purchase prints, and I am so sorry to hear that the gallery had to close down. But, I will continue to check in on the website. The print I would like to purchase the most, is yet another copy of “Old Style”, as mine has faded over time. Sadly I lost my Mother to Alzheimer’s a few months ago (she gave me the print), and two of my Mother’s great loves were art and Hawaii (She visited well over 20 times, her first visit was in 1952, and she last snorkeled with the parrot fish when she was eighty years old).
Well, I just wanted to wish you the best in your future gallery/art endeavors and send a giant Mahalo for all you’ve done.
    With sincerest gratitude, Paula
