Happy Halloween!!! Any Peg’s Legs out there?
Those of you that knew Peggy know that Halloween was one of her favorite holidays! She had a passion for costumes and loved to hand out candy to all the kids in the neighborhood. She also loved to scare them with her famous “scream box” – a cardboard box she set up on the porch. There would be a little window on it that you could open and when you did – “ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!” – there would be a person inside that would scream at you! It was hilarious and seeing people’s reactions never got old!
Almost three years have gone by since Peggy left us on November 19, 2008 for that great artist’s studio in the sky…seems like just yesterday she was directing Halloween party planning from her bed. And as we near the anniversary of her passing, it is time again for our annual Peg’s Legs reunion – a time when Peggy’s caregivers and family come together to celebrate our shared love for the wacky and wonderful Queen of mischief and whimsy. If you are a Peg’s Leg, please email Kimi at kimimchun@gmail.com for more information about our third annual Peg’s Legs Reunion.
Also – just a quick note to say that we are still selling Peggy’s work online…we have all of her images available in open edition and limited edition giclees.
And for the famous Peggy Chun Christmas cards and calendars, you can find them online at http://islandartcards.com/
Have a Spooktacular Halloween, everyone! Dress up for Peggy!
